These instructions ( or setting up email with my own smtp server ) are now working. No email is sent. I am on hold for the customer support number and it says my queue is 1 hour long. let's see if this message gets published.

So you mentioned that it is best to set email notifications to only happen during certain times of day, but didn't show how that is accomplished. I have tried to set a schedule using the Motion&Alarm recording schedule options, but the email alerts seem to ignore these settings and continue to spam alerts throughout the day. Much thanks for the help.

I am having the same problem. Did tech support help? I would call them but it is Friday evening and tech support will not be open until Monday morning

I have done everything you have done step by step, I have tried using two different email addresses and I still wont get any email alerts. I can access sstem from my home PC and remotely from Apple Phone (Live view) but the most important feature "EMAIL ALERTS will not work . I have gone to alarm page as well and turned all alarms on. I do not know what else to try. Other than that I really like the system but the email alert is the most impotant feature and its not working, help .
